Wow! What a wonderful first month home!!!

Our new family of 5 is running smoothly. I am so grateful. I have truly enjoyed my month with the girls and think we are all 5 bonding wonderfully.

Zoie has been busy. She had her first visit to the Dr. for a general check-up on February 18 and that went well. She weighed 13 pounds 13 oz. The Dr. said she looked great! She got a referral to a Dermatologist for her skin color variations and had her blood drawn the next day, which Mark said was awful. I guess it took a long time to get enough blood to run all the tests they wanted. She's gaining weight quickly. At her Dermatologist appt. on March 2, she weighed a whopping 14 pounds 10 oz. She eats A LOT! She is mainly on formula, (except for a few attempts at rice cereal and one with peas). She eats about 6 oz. about every 3 hours, sometimes sooner. We will start her more regularly on baby food very soon.

She is "talking" a lot and can easily roll over. She can push up pretty far on her arms and doesn't mind at all being on her belly. In fact, she prefers to sleep on her belly. If you put her on her back to sleep, she usually rolls right over. If she's on her tummy, she can rotate herself around until she's facing the other direction. She thinks Ella is very funny, but who doesn't, right? Her laugh is precious and she is still very smiley. She has just started to show some preference for us and has cried a few times when others have held her. Yeah! She's bonding. She slept through the night last night, but usually we can expect to feed her 1 to 2 times during the night. She cannot sit up, yet, but is doing a great job holding up her head. She's graduated from the size 1 diapers into size 2. Her thighs are getting good sized rolls on them.

She spent a few days with her Grandma (with Papaw Bob) when we got home. She also spent a lot of time with her Papaw (with Granny). Her Aunt Heidi is coming this Tuesday and her Grandma (with the Gum) is coming over Spring Break. Wow. She is so loved!

What am I supposed to do with this stuff?

Zoie has been "flying" like this a lot, lately.

My two little ones.

Ella is an awesome big sister.

Dear God,
Is this how it's gonna be in this family?
Love,
Zoie

And a one, and a two....

Zoie isn't the only one changing clothes during the day.

I've got him wrapped already!

Ella loves her new Sissy.

Papaw (with Granny) and I became good friends.
